Factory Area and Height Requirements
1. Area requirements
Resin production requires areas such as reactors, condensation systems, cooling towers, solvent storage tanks, packaging areas, and raw material warehouses.
Larger areas facilitate safety clearances and workflow planning.
2. Factory height
Reactors typically require supporting operating platforms, condensers, and pipelines; therefore, the floor height cannot be too low:
- Conventional resin reactors (1-10tons): floor height ≥ 6-8m.
- Large reactors (10-50tons): floor height ≥ 10-12m.
If a two-story factory is used, the platform layer must meet load-bearing requirements.
Plant Load-bearing Capacity, Flooring and Structural Requirements
Resin production equipment is generally heavy, for example:
- 5-ton reactor weight ≈ 3000-5000kg
- 10-ton reactor weight ≈ 8000-12000kg
- The mixing system base and platform also impose additional loads.
Therefore, the plant must have:
- Floor load-bearing capacity ≥ 3-5tons/m²
- Reinforced foundation, independent equipment foundation blocks (reactors require separate concrete foundations)
- Corrosion-resistant and anti-slip flooring (solvent-resistant and corrosion-resistant)

Safety and Explosion-proof Requirements
1. Explosion-proof electrical equipment
- Explosion-proof lighting
- Explosion-proof distribution cabinet
- Anti-static grounding
- Explosion-proof fan
2. Ventilation system
It is recommended to cinfigure a "top-supply, bottom-exhaust" or "side-supply, side-exhaust" mechanical ventilation system:
- Ventilation rate ≥ 8-15 times/hous
- Negative pressure control is required in areas with organic solvents
- Matching VOCs treatment devices (activated carbon adsorption, catalytic combustion, etc.)
Raw Material Storage and Hazardous Materials Management
Resin production involves resin monomers, catalysts, organic solvents, plasticizers, etc. The plant must be clearly zoned:
1. Solvent storage area
- Located outdoors
- Equipped with fire dikes
- Keep away from open flames and electrical sparks
- Storage tanks must be equipped with breather valves and level gauges
2. Hazardous materials warehouse
- Initiators and curing agents must be stored separately
- Temperature and humidity controllable (to prevent thermal runaway)
- Dedicated ventilation system

Reaction Zone Layout Requirements
Smooth material flow: From raw materials → reaction → cooling → filtration → packaging.
Hot work areas and electrical rooms should be located away from the reaction zone.
Personnel access routes should be separated from forklift access routes.
Leak-proof ramps and emergency chutes should be installed.
Fire Safety Requirements
Automatic sprinkler system.
Foam fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system.
Flammable material arear must be equipped with explosion-proof pumps and fire sand pits.
Safety exits and emergency evacuation routes must be provided.
